The Wall challenge team
running from Carlisle to Newcastle

Picture is taken at The Sill the highest point on the trail which looks out to Scotland borders and is tackled after 35 miles of running and walking so a real killer.
We are wearing the charity t shirts which look like hashing tops🤔
I just wanted to thank all those who donated. We raised over ÂŁ5000 pounds for a very worthwhile charity and completed the 70 miles in 22 hours. 5 beers stops and no false trails. Thank goodness.

What is “The Wall”?
This 70-mile ultramarathon follows the historic route of Hadrian’s Wall, stretching from Carlisle to Newcastle. It’s a grueling single-day challenge that tests every ounce of stamina, resilience, and determination. Runners will face over 3,000 feet of elevation, rugged terrain, and hours on their feet – all for an incredible cause.
Why Heel & Toe?
Heel & Toe is a lifeline for children with physical and neurological disabilities. For years, Jake and Freddie have both benefited immensely from their services – particularly hydrotherapy, conductive education, and physiotherapy. The dedicated team has supported their development, mobility, and confidence in ways that are truly transformative.
But running these services isn’t easy. It costs over £1,000 per week just to keep the hydrotherapy pool operational – a critical component of therapy for children like Jake and Freddie. Every session, every splash, every step forward in recovery is made possible by generous donations.
